The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) is hosting a conference on experiences of discrimination immigrants and minorities face in the EU. This is a launch event to present findings from their second European Union Minorities and Discrimination Survey for which 25,500 people with ethnic minority or immigrant backgrounds were interviewed on their experiences of discrimination and victimisation in all 28 EU Member States.
The programme of the conference include presentations followed by panel debates. Speakers and panelists, ranging from policy makers to minority group members, will explore the findings presented by FRA and examine what can be done to address the issues raised, with a focus on discrimination and rights awareness; and victimisation and policing.
The event is jointly organised with the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the EU, the European Commission, the EEA and Norway Grants, as well as the EU Council's Secretariat General.
